iPad and Phonemic Awareness

Subjects:  Language Arts, flex group and work stations
Grade: K
Technology tools:  iPad
Tools used:  Interactive website
Activity type:  Teacher presentation

I use the iPad to teach phonemic awareness and letters.  The students learn to say sounds correctly.  They learn to recognize letters from the interactive websites.

Students learn to take turns as they learn to manipulate letters and sounds.

Assessment:  Observation and taking anecdotal notes.

Using the iPad is great. The students stay focused and enjoy learning on it.
