Spelling - Using phonics skills

Our 4th graders are using laptops to help reinforce phonics skills in spelling.

We have Spelling City bookmarked and the children quickly get to this site. They can choose from several activities and games to help them learn their spelling words and to help them know how to use these words in context. It has been very helpful in preparing children for not only the spelling tests but also in using these words in other areas of the curriculum.

Spelling grades have improved greatly. Also the children are using the words correctly in sentences.  I will continue to use this the remainder of the school year.
